About

Newquay Zoo is set within 13 acres of lush tropical gardens, just a short stroll from Newquay town centre. During your visit you can get close to dozen of the world’s rarest and endangered animals, whilst also learning about the conservation work carried out by the zoo.

Discover all your animal favourites big and small, including lemurs, otters, penguins, red pandas, lynx, armadillos, meerkats, plus a variety of different bird and reptile species.

To refuel during the day, there are food outlets around the site to grab a takeaway drink or snack. Situated next to the main entrance, the gift shop is stocked full of unique gifts, cuddly toys and branded souvenirs.

Newquay Zoo is a registered charity, so not only do you get a good day out, you know your money is going to a good cause, supporting education, scientific research and practical conservation around the world. Newquay Zoo supports a number of projects in the UK and overseas that aim to conserve wildlife in the wild, as well as playing a key role in breeding programmes for rare and endangered species. You can also help by purchasing a membership, for unlimited entry to the zoo plus exclusive benefits.

Newquay Zoo is open from 10am every day (except Christmas Day). Closing times and last entry varies throughout the year so please see the zoo’s website or call 01637 873342.

Newquay Zoo also offers animal experiences, which depending on availability, can be booked on the day. These are a fantastic opportunity to get up close to some of their most popular animals. To enquire, please call 01637 873342.
