About

Sunflowers Barn

Characterful and spacious barn in a lovely quiet rural spot with a beautiful view, not far from Looe and the south coast.

*LAST MINUTE MAY BANK HOLIDAY OFFER: £120 per night for 3 -10 nights between 28th April and 7th May*

'Sunflowers' is an ideal spot for a 'get-away-from-it-all' break for those looking for a peaceful retreat.
Or for family groups, there’s plenty of space for the kids to run around, both indoors and outside – with several lovely beaches, woodland walks and plenty of tourist attractions not far away.

'Sunflowers' can sleep up to 5 (or possibly 6) in its three bedrooms.  One or two lightweight full-size single divan beds can be added when required.

The front door leads into a large beamed living area with an open view over unspoilt countryside. Outside is a lawn with a picnic table where you can sit and enjoy the same view.   This room has comfortable leather settees, fast wi-fi, 32" TV, DVD player and music centre at one end and a modern, well-equipped kitchen and dining area at the other. Just four steps lead up to the large family bathroom and twin bedroom.

On the upper floor is the master bedroom with a king-size bed, en-suite with shower and a door opening onto an upper level patio with outside furniture and a lawned garden.  There is also a spacious single bedroom on this floor.  All bedrooms have TV.

Parking space is available two cars.

The Area

'Sunflowers' is situated in a quiet part of Cornwall in the small hamlet of Trelowia, a deeply rural location surrounded by farmland and rolling hills. There are gorgeous woodland and coastal walks and many lovely beaches nearby.

Seaton Beach is just a 3½ mile drive down a beautiful valley - or a 50 minute walk through spectacular woodland and riverside nature reserve. The steep hill on your return will keep you fit!

The picturesque, bustling harbour town of Looe is just 5 miles away, with a myriad of shops, pubs, cafes and a lovely sandy beach. From there, you can take a boat trip along the coast to the pretty fishing village of Polperro.

Both Seaton and Looe beaches are popular and ideal for small children. There are many quieter beaches nearby including stunningly beautiful Lantic Bay and expansive, spectacular Whitsand Bay.

Treddinick farm shop and café (which does excellent breakfasts and cream teas) is just ¾ of a mile down the lane. There it joins the main road, giving easy access to many local tourist attractions, including The Eden Project (30 mins) and The Lost Gardens of Heligan (under one hour).

The Copley Arms, in nearby Hessenford, has a good reputation for food - and plenty of outdoor seating.

For younger guests, there's a monkey sanctuary, large go-kart track and a long zip wire over an unused quarry nearby.

There’s a popular surf school at Whitsand Bay and golf, fishing (on lakes or at sea), canoeing, kayaking and paddle-boarding are also available locally.

Exeter Airport is an hour's drive and the Brittany Ferries port at Plymouth just 25 mins.

* If you have to cancel, you'll be refunded in full (less £15 booking fee) if I can find other holidaymkers to fill your dates - or your dates can be changed if need be for no extra cost. (If the new dates are high season and cost a little more, I'll ask you for the difference).arrivalMay
