The little fishing village of Portwrinkle has a beautiful harbour and leads on to two beaches: Hoodny Cove to the west and Finnygook Beach to the east.Finnygook Beach is the most popular and is closer to the road and car park. Both beaches have wonderful stretches of sand and Hoodny Cove has a more tucked away feel to it.
Both beaches reveal fascinating rock pools at low tide and the incoming tide provides a great opportunity for snorkelling.
