A Musical Kind of Little Wilderness

June 28 @ 3:00 pm

In Jane Austen Music and the Great Outdoors on 28th June, Jonathan Delbridge and soprano Penelope Appleyard take audiences on a musical jaunt to explore Jane Austen’s love of music and the outdoors.  Listeners will embark on a road trip from Jane’s own garden, past Pemberley and all the way up to Scotland taking in a spot of Regency landscape design.  Performed in period clothes and with an authentic square piano from 1814, ‘The Little Song Party’ blend scholarship and entertainment in their distinctive witty style, celebrating all the fun and creativity of domestic music-making.  Tea and cake will be available after the performance to round off a delightful afternoon in style.
