About
Treargel is located in five acres surrounded by National Trust coastland with sea views to the Rame peninsula in the distance.
There are 3 charming properties to choose from:
The Byre - A gorgeous self contained barn which can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children. It has a wood burning stove, with the first bag of fuel for free. During summer you can enjoy sitting on the balcony watching the sea and breathing in the nature around you.
The Piggery - A spacious annexe to The Barn. A self-contained flat. It can accommodate up to 2 adults (one queen sized bed). The living room features a wood burning stove and two electric heaters.
The Hermitage - A refuge from the demands and distractions of modern life, the Hermitage is a small peaceful cabin located deep in our woodland grounds. An ideal sanctuary for those seeking to disconnect from the smartphone-obsessed world, it provides a comfortable retreat for up to two people thanks to its double sofa bed and wood-burning stove.
You can walk to Looe, Polperro or beyond using The South West Coastal Path.
Due to the nature and age of our buildings, we regret that currently, this is an unsuitable destination for guests with wheelchairs.
We are building up a library of material about contemplation and retreating.
Treargel is a member of APR (The Association for Promoting Retreats) the Retreat Association, Labyrinths in Britain and the World Community for Christian Meditation.
Treargel also provides accommodation for those walking the Cornish Celtic Way, please ask us for the 'Pilgrim's Fare' for our special price.
