About
The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival takes place at various locations throughout the town, from pubs and bars to historic courtyards and quays.
The event usually attracts in excess of 65,000 visitors to see over 70 shanty groups and plans to physically go ahead on the following dates in future years.
The festival is a FREE event, with shanty performances scheduled throughout the weekend at venues including The Greenbank Hotel, Events Square, Prince of Wales Pier, Custom House Quay and Church Street Car Park. Visitors are encouraged to explore the town and its wealth of shops, restaurants, gardens and beaches, as well as the 20+ official festival venues. Scroll down the page here for a link to the festival venue map!
Alongside the variety of free performances, we are delighted to host a special one-off Falmouth Packet Gala Concert at The Princess Pavilion. The concert brings four of our headline groups together in Falmouth’s top live music venue and tickets are just £15. More information about where to buy tickets will be published here so stay tuned for details!
The festival program contains all sorts of useful information from maps to schedules, and is available to purchase in the lead up to the festival from The Cornish Store and Bow Fashion Accessories. It will also be available to purchase from the Festival Shops on Events Square and Custom House Quay during the festival itself.
